I recently got another email question: "I see on your website that haircuts have quite a range in price. What is the difference between a $25 haircut and a $40 haircut?"
Great question! When a stylist comes to work for me, s/he must first go through some advanced training, overseen by me. In this, I make sure that s/he becomes proficient enough to cut and color with a high enough quality that I feel comfortable with putting him/her on the floor. A $25 stylist is licensed but more recently out of school and newer in the industry. I definitely monitor his/her work closely, to guarantee my clients are happy. As s/he becomes more experienced and his/her clientele grows, s/he will move up the pay scale. By the time s/he reaches a $40 haircut, s/he is consistently putting out high quality cuts and colors, with little supervision needed from me. It usually takes a few years to bridge the gap between $25 and $40.
I feel confident that whatever your economic needs may be, you can still look fabulous! I stand behind my stylists, and I know you will find someone - at whatever price level - that you not only are comfortable with but that together you achieve the look you desire every time you come to Bishop's!
