On October 25th, we did a charity hair show to raise money for the SPCA of Tennessee. We had a BLAST doing it! It was so fun not only to show off our talent but to raise money for a good cause. The show was held at the salon, which we transformed to have a runway, complete with lighting. There was seating flanking both sides of the runway, to give everyone a great view. I hosted it, but I definitely was jealous and will be in on the action next year! We had food and wine to follow, and we also offered reduced rates on brow waxes and paraffin hand dips.
There were thirty models, all of which looked fabulous. They displayed looks from everyday to evening to the more avant garde/dramatic. We also had a few models that were styled live on the runway so everyone could watch the drama come to life.
All of my staff helped make this show such a success. Everyone cut, colored and helped style the models, and I was so proud! The models had a blast, too. You should have seen the way they worked the runway. In addition, we also had so many people that volunteered time, products and services: the food, the wine, the lighting, etc. I couldn't have done it without everyone, and I can't wait to see what next year's show will be like!
Make sure and check the website - we hope to have all sorts of pictures from the event up soon!
We are excited to say that we will be doing this every year around this time, so, if you missed this one, mark your calendars for next year!
