Spring is upon us, and with that comes lots of formal events.  Here at Bishop's Salon and Day Spa, we specialize in helping make those occasions special!  Whether you are looking for an updo, a polished hairstyle, or makeup, we have plenty of professionals to help with your needs.  There are a few things to remember when booking and having an appointment of this nature:

1.  Make sure to let the front desk know if you have anything challenging with your hair - curly, frizzy, super thick, thin, really long, short, etc.  This helps us book the proper time for an appointment.  Also, if you think you may need a consultation time before, make sure to tell the front desk that as well.  I mean, we are good, but we aren't mind readers!

2.  Bring pictures!  Even if you don't like the whole style, visuals always help your stylist to achieve the vision you have for your hair.  If you don't have an idea, arrive early and look through books we have here.  Knowing generally what you are looking for (up, down, curls, soft, etc.) will help guide the process.

3.  Come with clean dry hair, unless you are getting it blown out and styled that way.

4.  Prebook as soon as possible.  To get the time you want for your day, you should call with enough notice to get the stylist of your choice.  If you are also getting makeup, this is especially important because the block of time is longer for you.

5.  Make sure to do any work ahead of time that will make you look beautiful the day of the event - waxing, color, cut, etc.

6.  If you are a wedding party, we would love to accommodate all of you; just make sure to call with enough time to get you all in around the same time.

7.  Don't forget the guys...men, you too should have a haircut/shape up before taking your lady out for a lovely evening.
